The speaker is pretty good but the bass and treble is not really loud so might not be really good for music otherwise it s a very good speaker!. anothre hting is if you imedeately stop after plpaying a low freq noise the speaker cup hits the plastic on the bottom and makes a tck sound so the dampening should be imroved ig. recommended
I recently got a pair of these to replace the rotting paper-cone drivers in my Altec Lansing AVS300 satellites, which I had upcycled into custom enclosures. They fit the enclosures perfectly, and the sound signature changed significantly for the better. The soundstage is impressively wide, and they meet my requirements perfectly.
Even though these are full-range drivers, I feel that the extreme low end (20–40 Hz) and the very top end (7–20 kHz) aren't particularly strong(the response curve graph given is pretty accurate ngl)—but that’s to be expected given their small size. Still, they sound remarkably complete on their own. You can easily use them without a subwoofer or tweeter and still be amazed at how full and balanced they are! Highly recommended
The plastic-built frame could be better since my old drivers had a metal frame, but i can ignore that since they'll always be in an enclosure lol.
You can't go wrong with a pair of these....
