Not much to be said about this gem, very low crossover is a real possibility if you get the slopes steep enough. Not too much sparkle so the sound is neutral. Low sensitivity and very low impedance means matching it to large, sensitive woofers will be tricky at best. Slight peak in 4-6k region may be problematic. Crossover design for this driver isn't the easiest in the world, but it is possible. Best mated to 5-7" metal or kevlar cone drivers with 87-88 dB sensitivity.
Unfortunately the faceplate changed slightly from my last (white box) unit, of which I had a single piece. Cosmetic issues aside, the build quality is very similar with no other changes apparent.
This is a superb tweeter, with a performance very similar to the SB26CDC. It can be crossed over quite low too. I have done distortion measurements, and distortion is very low in the operating range. I am using this with other aluminium cone drivers for a 3-way tower.
